I am a huge studio fan. And of course, earlier the better. Beauty and Work are stand alone gems but Aox and the First are also high on my rotation.

I like Don't Ease Me In and the Garcia album, as well as many mentioned. Also, Garcia's solos in the last 2 albums could be very good, esp Throwing Stones.

It was very succint and note perfect. Fit the Reagan era perfectly, heroin and all. I still can't get some older Deadheads to listen to it -- but hey they don't get to know Althea either.

I like the guitar solo in "Touch Of Gray" as well, although on the 45 they cut it down a little...

Studio CRAZY FINGERS

is still my all time favorite. Have yet to hear a live version that can touch it....closest is the "One from the Vault" version of 8/13/75 but even that fails to convey the deep reggae groove they achieve in the studio version.

I like Jerry's vocals in Crazy Fingers -- very smooth and nuanced.

Did you know I can collect rocks and plan ahead?

And you thought my rage was a spontaneous reaction. Ha!

In this context, it's probably like what Rob does when he saves my posts knowing full well that I will contradict myself in the near future and he can "whip them out" and make me look bad.

Not a tough job, really.
